The COPAs saw a change in the landscape this year as branded content showed that they compete with with high quality journalism! The big winner this year was York U Magazine that garnered 8 COPAs including the Top Ranked Entry.

The COPA had new winners that included Ambitions Magazine, Byblacks.com, Canadian Women’s Foundation, Hamilton City Magazine, Hockey Canada, Mental Health Commission, Metrolinx, The Breach, The Ottawan, The Sarnia Journal and The Vintage Seeker. 

Another new entrant Red River College Polytechnic garnered 2 Gold and a Silver in the Academic Category. UBC won a Gold for best Photo Journalism in the Consumer category that show that great work is being created in schools. York University ’s Film school won Best Video in the Academic Category.
