Mary Pattison is the newest account executive at Village Living. Notably, she is also the director of marketing strategy for K9 Design Co., the firm that designs Village Living mag.

Pattison runs her own marketing consultancy, Pattison Consulting, and has worked on community revitalization projects in Toronto's St. Clair West neighbourhood, including strategic consulting for Artscape Wychwood Barns.

Michael Schellenberg is no longer the literature officer with the Ontario Arts Council. Schellenberg was working as a freelance consultant when he was hired by the OAC in February 2013. Prior to that, Schellenberg was associate publisher at Knopf Canada from 2003 to 2011.

Sandy Kim left Chatelaine as art director and has taken up a new role as DVP, creative services director at Holt Renfrew. She started at the mag in 2010.

Brandon Kirk
has been named vice president of publishing sales for Rogers Media. The appointment comes as part of Rogers' new sales model which launched in early May 2013. The approach is described as "holistic and integrated" and allows a client to advertise with Rogers across several platforms - TV, radio, print and digital - through one dedicated contact.

Kirk is one of five team leaders pioneering the sales model. Mitch Dent is now the executive vice president for Rogers TV sales; Linda Erlain, general sales manager, radio; Michka Mancini, vice president, digital sales; and Gavin Roth, vice president, multiplatform sales.

Rick Segal, president worldwide and chief practice officer of advertising agency, Gyro, has been appointed chairman of BPA Worldwide's Board of Directors. Segal was formerly 1st vice-chairman and 2nd vice-chairman of the BPA board. Segal's chairmanship is for the 2013/2014 fiscal year.

Julie Baldassi is the newest staff writer at Quill & Quire. Before joining Q&Q, Baldassi was a municipal affairs reporter at NRU publishing and interned at The Walrus. She is also an editor at Double Dot magazine.
