Alisha Hiyate, new editor The Northern Miner
Alisha Hiyate has been chosen the new editor of The Northern Miner. She assumes the post after five years as editor of Canadian Mining Journal where she spearheaded the redevelopment of the CMJ website, increased the brand’s social media presence, ​and helped establish and plan virtual symposiums.  

Hiyate has nearly 16 years of experience as a mining journalist. She takes over the reins from Trish Saywell who retires from The Northern Miner in mid-March
