CA and Marketing lead in KRW nominations
 
The Kenneth R. Wilson (KRW) Awards for B2B magazine publishing has announced the finalists for its 59th show, and CAmagazine and Marketing lead with nominations in the double digits.

Published by the Chartered Professional Accountants Canada, CAmagazine earned noms in 17 categories, while Rogers Publishing's Marketing followed with 14. Also in the top five are Les Affairs (TC Media) with nine nominations, and Precedent (Law + Style Media) and University Affaires (Association of University and Colleges of Canada) with eight each.

Magazine of the Year has been separated into two fields this year. In the running for the Professional category are CAmagazine, Marketing, and UP Here Business. In the Trade category, the finalists are Oilweek, Renovation Contractor and Salon Magazine.

The most nominated writer is James Menzies, who is being considered for four awards for his pieces in Truck News, Truck West and Motortruck Fleet Executive. Art director Barb Woolley, of Hambly & Woolley studio, pulled in six nods for work on Precedent and CMA magazines.

Up for Website of the Year are National, Precedent and University Affairs.

The gold, silver and honourable mention awards will be handed out June 4 at the awards gala in Toronto, at the Grand Banking Hall at One King West. Canada Wide Media's Tom Gierasimczuk returns as master of ceremonies.
