Briefs & Bookmarks: Dare, TC Media, Routes

A digital magazine for plus-size women, Dare, was launched by Ryerson University fashion communications student Diana Di Poce. The mag started as Di Poce's final-year school project.

A Story Board entry by Katherine Lapointe of the CWA Canada-Canadian University Press asks, "Is the Canada Periodical Fund helping TC Media squeeze freelancers?" Read it here.

Routes, a Southern Alberta lifestyle mag, will cease publication after the May/June edition. Publisher Sandra Wiebe and Routes Media will continue on as a custom publishing media company, and events news and local stories will continue on at routesmagazine.ca.

Canadian Underwriter
magazine launched a new website at insNews.ca. The main page prominently features a Twitter news stream that updates automatically with Tweets from CU and its trade journal counterparts.
