Record entries for COPA; more judges announced
Now in its third year, the Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPA) has broken its own record for most entries.

A total of 314 entries have poured in by the July 5 extended deadline, across 14 categories in the online consumer magazine, B2B magazine and newspaper/broadcast divisions. That's a 21% increase from last year's COPAs.

Meanwhile, the list of judges for COPA continues to grow. Newest additions to the judging lineup include:
"Online publishers across the spectrum are doing fantastic work and we're excited to see how the community has adopted the COPAs as the premier awards program for digital publishing," says Masthead publisher Doug Bennet. "We've added some leading-edge categories this year including tablet editions so I can't wait to see which award-winning innovators will be crowned."

Winners of COPA will be announced at the awards reception to be held in Toronto in October. Last year's program received national and international coverage, with winners including Maclean's, Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, Salon52.ca, Vitamin Daily, Sparksheet, CBC.ca and many others.
