Marsh, who has been editor of the St. Joseph-published magazine since 2003 was due to come back from maternity leave in September and spoke with Lozinski last week about her decision to leave the book. “She made a very difficult teary-eyed decision,” says Lozinski. “But she will not be out of the industry, she will be balancing a couple of freelance projects.”

One of the projects Marsh will be working on is joining the editorial team of the soon to be launched Canadian digital beauty and wellness magazine, The Kit as health editor. The online magazine is set to launch in September and will be edited by Wallace Media principal Doug Wallace.

Lozinski said in a memo to St. Joseph employees Marsh worked diligently to make FASHION the number one fashion and beauty magazine in Canada. “We made publishing history in 2008 as the first fashion and beauty magazine to break the two million reader threshold,” she said. “On a personal note, Ceri has been a wonderful business partner. Our “editor-publisher” collaboration has been respectful, honest, collaborative and also a lot of fun. I will miss Ceri and I know all those who have worked closely with her will too.”

Bernadette Morra, who has been the acting editor in chief of FASHION Magazine takes over effective immediately as the replacement for Marsh. Morra has worked previously as the fashion editor for the Toronto Star and publisher of her own website for jewelry lovers.
