People in print: changes at Rogers, CLB Media and more
Kelly Latimer has been let go as publisher of Glow. The magazine which is produced by Rogers under contract with Shoppers Drug Mart has a circulation of 401,000 with the majority of copies going to Optimum Cardholders. Suneel Khanna, senior director of communications for Rogers Consumer Publishing said no replacement has been named.

Also at Rogers, no replacement has been named to replace former senior vice-president, consumer publishing and président, Les Éditons Rogers – Québec Marc Blondeau. His direct reports are working with president and CEO, Brian Segal.

At CLB Media, in Aurora, Ont. Masthead has learned that John Chiasson, associate publisher, Baum Wood Group has been let go. The change comes with movement involving titles in the group from print to online. Watch Masthead for more on this story tomorrow.

Ryerson continuing education student Angela Walcott is the recipient of the first-ever Terri DeRose Memorial Award in Circulation Management, presented last night at Ryerson's Chang School Annual Awards event in Toronto. The award is presented by the CMC Circulation Management Association of Canada, and CMC president Tuppy Blair was on hand for the honours. She reports: "Angela was so grateful and excited to win!  Both Gerry DeRose and Stephanie DeRose, Terri's widow and daughter respectively, were with me last night on the stage and they were extremely pleased to have been included. I am really happy that the CMC is able to not only honor Terri's memory but also feel the gratification of helping someone enhance their education." The award honours DeRose's significant contribution to the circulation management profession as vice-president of consumer marketing at Transcontinental Printing and recognizes excellence in a student who has completed Ryerson's Magazine Marketing and Circulation course. DeRose died of cancer June 7, 2007, age 56.

On the local front North Island Publishing’s much loved circulation manager Rachel Debling (recently married to become Rachel Crocker) has left us to pursue a career in the fitness industry. Thanks for your hard work and best of luck!
