According to Magazines Canada, the Retailer of the Year Award recognizes the vital role retailers play in the Canadian magazine landscape, and is awarded annually to an outstanding client of Magazines Canada's distribution service who cultivates this connection between consumers and their Canadian magazines.
“We have one of the largest magazine selections in B.C. even though we’re a small town, but it is because we reflect Salt Spring,” owner Andrew Haigh said. “Salt Spring has so many diverse interests: from political to gardening to weavers. We’ve got a big art section and we have a lot of writers here.”
The award will be presented at Magazines Canada’s luncheon on June 5 during MagNet.
