In a move touted as a support to community news, Postmedia recently relaunched more than 80 community newspaper websites.

“We know readers come to us for information that matters to them and news about their community and region is their top priority,” said Lucinda Chodan, senior vice president editorial, Postmedia. “This investment in our community websites supports local journalism, and brings our readers, local businesses and communities closer together.”

The first section of each site features local news, followed by a section of news from nearby communities.

All the websites have received the same makeover that Postmedia recently rolled out for its larger daily newspapers, including responsive design, better user experience, improved search capabilities, and editorial tools that impact the hierarchy of stories
