PMB data shows readership holding steady
The latest report from the Print Measurement Bureau shows the top five magazines in Canada according to total readership holding on to their positions, with Reader's Digest at No. 1.
Total readership for Reader's Digest figures at 5,025,000 with 8.6 readers per copy (RPC). Canadian Living follows in the No. 2 slot with 3,817,000 readers (7.4 RPC), and Canadian Geographic rounds out the top three with a readership of 3,650,000 (20.1 RPC). Also in the top five are What's Cooking (3,635,000, 4.0 RPC) and People (3,140,000, 21.2 RPC).
All told, average Fall 2013 readership of the 90 magazines included in the study is steady at 1.04 million, same as Spring 2013 and up from the 1.02 million reported for Fall last year. And while the number dipped in 2010 to 1.01 million and hovered near there since, 1.04 million is also the same average readership recorded in Fall 2009, indicating a recovery this year.
The highest in terms of readers per copy is Canada's History with 25.4, up from 19.7 last year. Completing the top five are The Hockey News with 23.0 RPC, Outdoor Canada with 22.1 RPC, Dernière heure with 21.3 RPC, followed by People at 21.2 RPC.

Not a lot of wins but yes the top magazines even with loss of readership were able to hold onto their previous positions.
