People in Publishing: Maisonneuve, Zoomer, OAC
Eric Andrew-Gee, an NMA-nominated contributor to Maisonneuve, steps in to fill Cullingham's shoes as associate editor. Outgoing editor Drew Nelles announced in March that he would vacate his role and move to New York. His last issue at the helm is Fall 2013, No. 49.
Eat Love Savor, owned by Tunner Media, announced three new contributing editors to its online luxury lifestyle magazine. Joining the team are wine connoisseur James Cluer, travel expert Jean Newman Glock, and interior and lifestyle designer Nicky Summer.
Jack Illingworth was hired as the OAC's new literature officer. He has worked with a number of literary arts organizations, most recently the Literary Press Group as executive director.
Merida Lake is set to start at Gesca Media Sales as general manager, where her responsibilities will include overseeing advertising revenue for La Presse newspaper. She transitions from TC Media, where she was brand director for Fresh Juice.
Alan Quarry has been appointed to the BPA Worldwide/CCAB board of directors and executive committee. Quarry is chair of Quarry Integrated Communications, a past director of the Institute of Canadian Advertising and a former president of the Trans Canada Advertising Agency Network.
