Mountain Life publishers launch new outdoor annual
The publishers of Mountain Life Coast Mountains and Mountain Life East are looking to build their brand with a new tabletop annual featuring in-depth editorial and photography for outdoor enthusiasts.
Called Mountain Life Annual, the "book-type" publication hits select newsstands and specialty stores, including Mountain Equipment Co-op, in July. “It’s going to look like a beautiful item that you don’t want to move off your coffee table, that you can go back to again and again,” said Leslie Anthony, editor-in-chief. “It isn’t a throw-away.”
The entirety of the print edition also comes in a digital format and can be downloaded through iTunes. The digital version features extras like web links, videos, slideshows and behind the scenes content.
“The outdoor industry is growing and we want to encourage people to get out there and experience what this country has to offer outside,” said Todd Lawson, the magazine’s publisher.
