House & Home magazine designs red carpet suite for TIFF
For the second year in a row House & Home magazine has designed the red carpet suite for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
The concept for the design was developed by House & Home editor-in-chief Suzanne Dimma and designer Jenna Cadieux, who also worked on the space last year.
“This year’s Red Carpet Suite reflects a subtle and refined approach to decorating,” Dimma said. “Our take on luxury is quiet. We used soft, muted colours throughout the room, like cream, light grey, aqua and lavender. We layered in iconic design pieces from around the world, like the Danish Wegner easy chair and the Tolomeo Mega floor lamp by Italian company Artemide. The overall effect is elegant, friendly, international and forward-thinking — it’s the same spirit I see in the festival itself.”
Located inside the lower level of Roy Thompson Hall, the room serves as a retreat for festival sponsors and guests, and House & Home expect almost 800 of them to experience their suite over the next week.
House & Home magazine and its French-language edition Maison & Demeure is published by H & H media, a lifestyle multimedia company.
