FASHION Magazine secures Canada’s Sophie Grégoire Trudeau for exclusive cover feature in March 2017 issue

In honour of International Women’s Day on March 8, FASHION Magazine is revealing its feminist-themed March 2017 issue with an exclusive cover and interview featuring Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. The issue marks Grégoire Trudeau’s first fashion cover to date and includes an eight-page feature in which Grégoire Trudeau speaks to the importance of promoting women’s rights in today’s chaotic socio-political landscape.

"We're being called to rise up and raise our level of consciousness and to connect with other human beings," says Grégoire Trudeau. "The level of opportunity that we're sitting on right now as a country and a generation is immense."

In addition to discussing her recovery from bulimia nervosa, Grégoire Trudeau shares her other passion projects, which include promoting self-esteem in girls and advocating for wage equality, affordable daycare and justice for Indigenous women.

“We’re so proud to have Sophie Grégoire Trudeau as the face of this month’s feminist-themed issue,” says Noreen Flanagan, Editor-in-Chief of FASHION Magazine. “She is one of many great Canadian women we profile in the issue who are actively creating a better future for everyone. In this issue we also include the results of our first-ever "State of Sisterhood” survey, which was completed by more than 1,100 Canadian women.”

The exclusive cover feature, which was photographed at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa, features Grégoire Trudeau dressed in Canadian designs by Dean Davidson, Greta Constantine, Jenny Bird, Lauren Klassen, Lucian Matis, Markoo, Sid Neigum and Smythe. The print edition of FASHION’s March issue hits newsstands in Canada on February 13, 2017. FASHION will also be debuting in the U.S. at select Barnes & Noble locations on February 28, 2017.
