Annex Business Media has acquired Turf & Recreation magazine from Delhi, ON-based Turf & Recreation Publishing Inc.

Turf & Recreation’s demographic includes golf course superintendents, lawn and landscape contractors, sports turf managers and municipal grounds managers.

Owner and publisher Bart Crandon will work with Annex over the coming year, as the magazine transitions to its new publisher. Editor Mike Jiggens will join Annex as a full-time staff member.

“We’ve worked with Bart as a print customer for over 20 years, so when he decided to leave the business, it was a natural fit for us to step in,” explains Annex president & CEO Mike Fredericks. “It’s also a natural fit with some of our other brands. We expect to see some synergies and fresh ideas on the client side where Turf & Rec overlaps other markets.”
