Both newsletters and the journalists behind them will now operate as part of The Trillium, Village Media’s talented bureau of legislative reporters based at Queen’s Park. Launched in early 2023. Born digital, Village Media operates 25 local news websites across Ontario, including GuelphToday, SooToday, BarrieToday, Sudbury.com and BurlingtonToday. Village Media focus on the expansion of community-based journalism and marketing and are focused on building profitable and sustainable local news sites. Village Media says their is to  mission of strengthening communities and to inform audience, gauge public opinion through proprietary suite of interactive tools and provide insight and context around the issues impacting the day-to-day lives of those who live in the communities they serve.
