Best on Page Awards back for second year
Magazines Canada has announced details for the 2011 Best on Page Awards, which honours the best in magazine ad creative.

Visitors can print one of four ads with promotional codes to view a video message from Best on Page Awards judges
Four promotional ads enriched with QR codes can be printed to view a video message from Best on Page Awards judges


Gold awards will be handed out in five categories:
-Best Full or Double-Page Spread
-Best Fractional or Small Space Ad
-Best Campaign
-Best Innovative Use of the Medium
-Best of Show

Judging this year’s awards are David & Goliath executive creative director and managing partner Israel Diaz, Dentsu vice president and creative director Deborah Prenger, doug & serge chief creative officer Doug Robinson and Ogilvy Toronto co-chief creative officer Nancy Vonk.

New this year, website visitors can see a video message from each of the Best on Page Awards judges by printing off one of four QR code enabled promotional ads, going to Bestonpage.ca/AR and holding the page up to a webcam. This interactive feature was developed by Toronto-based doug & serge agency.

Canadian agencies and advertisers can enter the Best on Page Awards until Friday February 11. The Awards will be handed out Thursday, March 31 at the Allstream Centre in Toronto from 5-8 p.m., attendance to the event is free.
