The EAT Journal launches in Victoria

Pacific Island Gourmet Publishing, publishers of EAT Magazine, is launching a new magazine entitled The EAT Journal. Printed on high quality, heavy, matte stock, The EAT Journal retails for $12 and is available in select bookstores, retail spaces, restaurants and online.

The magazine will give readers a look into the unique food landscape in Victoria and Vancouver Island.

"We decided to try something different with our new publication," publisher Gary Hynes, said. "The EAT Journal has limited advertising (only 15%) and is available for sale through bookstores, grocers and specialty food stores. We feel the time is right to make a move into the retail space and offer our regular readers something more substantial, with deeper articles and recipes and that they would want to keep around longer. It looks awesome on a coffee table."

The EAT Journal staff is made up of writers, photographers and illustrators from BC, Finland and the UK. Visit the website to learn where you can get your own copy. The first issue is out now, with a new issue to be released in November.
