Publication to the LGBTQ community
Atlantic Canada’s  LGBTQ+ magazines ceased publication six years ago.  Wayves  Magazine will relaunch  as a digital publication. Daniel MacKay Publisher, former chair of Halifax Pride  will  focus on what the mainstream media does not, covering a combination of news and human interest stories of interest to the gay community in the  Atlantic Region.
Wayves will be  online and will use  a mailing list and  notify subscribers once a week about  new articles. Daniel MacKay has been involved with Wayves for about 30 years and decided to restart the publication after talking with journalist , Jordan Parker a writer for Halifax Today. Wayves is an independent publication, published by a non-profit collective. It exists to inform lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgendered people in Atlantic Canada.
