TC Media sells 12 of its newspapers to Groupe Lexis Media inc.
 

It look like the year-end corporate changes are still not finished as TC Media, sold 12 of its publications to Groupe Lexis Média Inc., a company owned by Mr. Elie Akoury and Mr. Frédéric Coutureon on December 12, 2017. 

In total, 75 employees of these various publications and 16 employees from TC Media's Production team are transferred to Groupe Lexis Média inc.

The newspapers sold to Groupe Lexis Média inc. are: Le Citoyen Rouyn-Noranda, Le Citoyen de la Vallée-de-l'Or, L'Écho Abitibien and La Frontière, distributed in Abitibi-Témiscamingue; L'Action D'Autray, L'Action - Wednesday Edition, L'Action - Weekend Edition, L'Express Montcalm and Hebdo Rive-Nord, in Lanaudière; Le Bulletin, La Petite-Nation and La Revue, in Outaouais.

 

 

Mr. Frédéric Couture, President of Groupe Lexis Média inc., states "It is an honour for me to acquire this portfolio of quality publications from TC Media and, together with our people, I look forward to great successes serving readers and advertisers. 

 

Lexis Média is a French language publisher in Quebec that publishes 4 magazines Mieux-Être, Homme, Moi Parent and Maternité, 13 community newspapers  and produces a  consumer event, Salon Bien-Être. The addition of these titles will provide scale to the company and strengthen the reach they have in communities in Quebec as we all know flyers are big business for community newspapers.
