Rogers exec is Magazine Canada’s Volunteer of the Year
Magazine Canada has singled Immee Chee Wah for its annual Volunteer of the Year award.
The vice president of business planning for Rogers Publishing is being celebrated for making a national contribution during her many years of dedicated volunteer service to the industry.
According to Magazine Canada’s communication manager Brianne DiAngelo, Chee Wah’s many contributions to tough issues facing publishers is one of the many reasons she is being recognized.
“Immee is on our Blue Box committee. This is a committee that is looking at recycling issues across Canada,” she said. “There really has been a lot of change in this file over the last few years. In every single province there’s been new recycling legislation or new stewardship groups and she has worked really tirelessly on that file and like we say in the press release, it’s a tough file.”
Chee Wah will receive her award on June 5, during Magazines Canada’s luncheon at 475 Yonge St. in Toronto.
