The 18th annual Alberta Magazines Conference was held March 20-21 in Calgary, and featured the 2014 Alberta Magazine Awards. The awards gala honoured the previously announced achievement award winners
and revealed the winners of 15 showcase categories.
Among the big winners were Calgary's Swerve
, which took home a number of awards including Golds in Essay, Feature Design, Photograph (Landscape, Still Life and Architecture) and Service; plus Silvers for Alberta Story and Service.
, another multiple winner, garnered Golds in Cover, Feature Writing (Short), Fiction and Poetry; and took home a Silver in the Fiction category.
received Gold for Alberta Story, Illustration and Photograph (People & Portraiture). Other Gold winners included Alberta Venture, FreeFall, Uppercase
