Canadian Family drops new iPad edition
 
Canadian Family released a new digital edition available now at the iTunes App store, sponsored by Mead Johnson. An enhanced version of the March issue, it costs $3.99.

"Many of our readers rely on the tablet more and more for the ease and convenience of having their favourite magazine with them wherever they go," said editor-in-chief Brandie Weikle in a St. Joseph Media release. The digital edition is exclusive to Apple users for now, but an Android version will follow.

Taking advantage of the medium's capabilities, St. Joseph Media says every page from each issue will be "fully redesigned for the tablet with interactive functionality."

This month's Baby Issue includes slideshows of nurseries, an audio interview with popular Twitter user and writer @HonestToddler, a check-list for road-tripping with infants, and more.

"We want to maximize the ways in which readers can use our content interactively — whether it be following a recipe with a tap of your finger, or scrolling to read the text you want," said Weikle of offering a more tactile experience.
