Glass Culture magazine launches across Canada, U.S.

A new print magazine has launched for glass enthusiasts.

It's called Glass Culture, a bimonthly publication that will see 45,000 copies printed with distribution across Canada and the U.S. by Curtis and Coast To Coast.

Glass Culture is the only periodical "focusing exclusively on the culture of glass collecting and the growing interest in this emerging art form," reads a release. "The objective of the publication is to provide their readership with insight into glass culture as an industry, and as a way of life."

The magazine is led by a team that includes Marco Renda (publisher of Treating Yourself Magazine, for medical marijuana users) and Chris Carlson, one of the "top glass artists in the world".

The magazine will be launching with a preview issue in the September 2012 edition of Treating Yourself.

Annual subscriptions to Glass Culture are $45 (USD/CAD), $75 U.S. for international orders, and a full page ad is listed at $2,250 U.S.

Renda noted, "I never knew much about functional glass art until I started collecting glass. I thought that the best way to get information out to other glass enthusiasts is to launch a publication just for them."

The magazine has a website here. Glass Culture is a division of Malcan Media.

And yes, that is a bong on the cover.
