Peter Willson will end his post as associate publisher and consumer marketing director of
Hello! Canada at the end of the year.
Willson, who has been with Rogers for 26 years in roles including director of retail sales for consumer magazines and director of marketing communications for
Maclean's, is leaving as a result of "structural and organizational" changes within the company.
Willson was
named Newsstand Marketer of the Year by Masthead in 2005.
Also at Rogers, circulation director Brinda Luckoo has been promoted to executive director, consumer marketing group, reporting to president Ken Whyte.
Azure Publishing has named Anne Wetheral as advertising director. Wetheral will be responsible for managing the ad departments of
Azure and
Designlines. She was previously advertising director at
Flare.
St. Joseph Media has appointed Juliette Baxter as editor-in-chief of
Glow and
Pure magazines, two publications which St. Joseph
recently landed the contracts to publish and print. St. Joseph said Baxter's "immediate mandate is to bring together a committed and talented editorial team."
Baxter has 15 years' experience in both consumer and custom publishing, beginning her career as associate beauty editor at
Fashion. She begins her new post on Nov. 21. The first issues of
Glow and
Pure under St. Joseph's lead will be published in May 2012.
The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) has elected Sunni Boot, chief executive officer of ZenithOptimedia Canada, as its new chairman. Boot previously served as chairman of the ABC Canada Board Committee.
Replacing Boot as chairman of ABC Canada’s board committee is Shelagh Stoneham, vice president of brand and marketing communications at Rogers Communications.
