The Foundation will also host a silent auction at MagNet and the National Magazine Awards in Toronto from June 2-5. Up for grabs are a Canadian Rockies package courtesy of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, valued at $1500, two nights at each of the Fairmont Mountain Resorts—Banff Springs Hotel, Chateau Lake Louise and Jasper Lake Lodge.

Prior to her death, Bowerman had been working as an advisor and publications editor at The Emery Weal, a student newspaper published by the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology students association. She was also a frequent contributor to many Calgary-based magazines, including Alberta Views, where she worked for four years, and publications owned by the RedPoint Media Group., such as Avenue Calgary, Up!
