People in print: Changes at Glow, AMPA and more

Jackie Shipley has been appointed art director of Glow, a shopping magazine published eight times a year by Rogers Publishing Inc. Previous to this appointment, Shipley was the art director of Today’s Parent, also published by Rogers. Today's Parent has yet to hire a replacement.

Robert Vretenar has joined St. Joseph Media as Web technology director. In his most recent role as director of technology delivery at Internet consulting firm Imason, he managed a team of 26 consultants that served Canadian media companies such as Torstar and MTV.

Brian Segal, president and CEO of Rogers Publishing, is the new vice-chair of the 23-member board at the Audit Bureau of Circulations. He was elected to a one-year term at ABC’s October board meeting.

The Alberta Magazine Publishers Association board has elected RedPoint Media Inc. executive vice president Gary Davies as president. Davies takes over from Rob Tanner, president of the Tanner Young Publishing Group (Canadian Cowboy Country Magazine, Where Edmonton).
