Glow wins gold at Folio Awards

Glow has a readership around 1.2 million, according to the Print Measurement Bureau.
Glow magazine fought off tough American competition to take gold in the Best Feature Design category at the international Folio Awards, unveiled Monday in Chicago. The award was specifically for a piece called “The Big Chill,” published in the magazine’s December 2007 issue.

Glow, a shopping title published eight times a year by Rogers Publishing Ltd. in partnership with Shopper’s Drug Mart, beat out ESPN: The Magazine and Entertainment Weekly for the top prize.

“It's fantastic to be standing in the winner's circle with such publishing icons as Marie Claire and Glamour magazines," said Beth Thompson, Glow's editor-in-chief, in a press release. "Canadians do great work and it's rewarding to be recognized on an international stage for that talent."
