Television superstar Douglas Thomson

Fans of Canadian Home Workshop editor Douglas Thomson (and we know you’re out there) can get a glimpse of the great man on the tube tonight. Thomson, along with Mike Holmes of Holmes on Homes and Jim Caruk from Real Renos, will appear as a guest judge on HGTV’s renovation reality show, Handyman Superstar Challenge, airing tonight at 10 p.m ET. “I was very impressed at how quickly they were able to turn out a pretty good looking furniture project with a limited array of tools,” Thomson said of the show’s contestants in a press release. “A couple of them were obviously natural builders.” We’re forced to quote from a press release, since Thomson, ever the diva, was unavailable for comment.
