EnsembleIQ seeks a Managing Editor for its The Medical Post (TMP) and Pharmacy Practice + Business (RPB) business to business media brands — covering the interests of Canada’s physicians and pharmacists. Working in close collaboration with other members of the unified TMP/PPB team, the Managing Editor’s key responsibility is managing the day-to-day needs of our two flagship newsletters: selecting wire service, staff written and blog content and editing and packaging those to produce authoritative daily content. Additional core responsibilities will involve some social media work and building engagement with the TMP/PPB community. The Managing Editor must be a self-motivated team player who can work independently, thrives under pressure, and excels in multi-tasking.

Key Responsibilities:

 Manages daily operations of the our email newsletters Doctor Daily (serving Canada’s physicians) and Pharmacy Practice (serving Canada’s pharmacists)—curating, editing, packaging and posting content, and assuring timely email distribution.

 Digitally publishes high-quality content, every day, on deadline, with a visually engaging presentation, and thoughtfully embedded links to related information.

- Editing bloggers.

 Some writing—where time permits.

 Other responsibilities will be assigned based on evolving business needs.

Job Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent training

- At least 3-5 years editorial experience (B2B preferred)

 Excellent writing, proofreading and interpersonal communication skills

- Proven ability to create compelling and engaging digital content

- Proficiency with digital content management and audience metrics tools

- Useful knowledge: Science knowledge or Canadian healthcare system knowledge.
