At the PBAA Canada 2010 Conference yesterday, Zoomer
editor-in-cheif Suzanne Boyd talked a bit about covers. Joining her on stage was Marisa Latini, Director of Consumer Marketing, and Craig Sweetman, Account Executive from Coast to Coast.
Apparently, this exclusive cover shot was taken over a year ago, and the folks at Zoomer
have eagerly been awaiting the opportunity to use it.
“We are expecting great sales from the September issue — it’s got the winning formula of a powerful photograph of an icon linked to a strong theme, bold cover lines and high-quality production. We have done well with iconic celebrities on the cover…like the Queen or Gretzky,” says Marisa Latini.
The cover is very Vanity Fair
Boyd confessed that she is a magazine junky. She also acknowledged that Vanity Fair
is a magazine that she has carefully tracked and admired for many years.
Craig Sweetman noted that Coast to Coast was working closely with their wholesale and retail trading partners to get Zoomer
merchandised alongside Vanity Fair
on mainline racks.
